So happy to finally try the prawn mee at Beach Road Prawn Mee Eating House! I've been trying different prawn mee with M and we've only found 2 places where I agree with the prawn mee.
I had the Jumbo prawn noodles while M had the pork ribs noodles. It looks impressive visually, with the big prawns adorning the bowl, the prawns were one of the few best I had ever. The soup was ...... good, really good but not terrific, it only tasted more explosive after adding alot of chilli powder. The noodles were pretty disgusting, I had thick beehoon but it was neither the size of normal thick beehoon nor the thin ones, just nowhere in the middle, M helped me finish it all. HEHE. I would definitely still go back a second time as it's good, just not as good as I thought it would be.
THEN, we finally checked out Chin Mee Chin Confectionery. Other than the aunties working there being really rude, I always feel that egg tarts and custard puffs are such a great idea!
Even though we tapao-ed and only ate it few hours later, the quality was still better than I expected.
